Digital marketing is a crucial process that every business has to understand and implement to become successful. But, out of all digital marketing, the most critical part of every digital marketing campaign is the Call to Action(CTA). 

What is CTA?

Call to Action is when you give your potential buyers a direction towards what they have to do next once they have interacted with your business. 

A CTA might encourage your customers to make a purchase, sign up for your newsletter, or follow your brands on social media platforms. 

Depending on your goals, a CTA can take different forms such as “call now” (to promote phone calls) or “visit our website” (drive the visitors to your website) and then convert them into sales. 

Ever since Marketing came into existence there has been an inclusion of CTA, whether considered television or a radio ad, or modern digital marketing advertising. With different types of campaigns, CTA will include different information such as a phone number, or a direct link to the website. 

Therefore, a CTA is a statement with a direction along with your contact information. 

What makes your CTA so important?

CTA is crucial because when you use the same effectively, then you can guide your customers through the buying process, providing clear instructions on what they can do next with your offer/marketing message. 

When you provide your customer with your product/service, inform them about the next step in their buying journey. This is what we call a CTA, where they are aware of what is being offered to them, and as a next step, they have to buy your product. Once you have a clear, engaging, and well-explained CTA, then it will help increase your conversion rates. 

How to implement CTA the right way!

There are two components of making a successful CTA, which is a blend of your marketing message/offer and the CTA to bring the maximum returns from the campaign. 

When creating a CTA, it has to be clear and concise, without any scope for confusion in taking the next step towards the action stage as per your sales funnel. 

Here are some tips to make your CTA impactful: 

  1. Make your CTA generate an emotional response: Your CTA should generate an emotional response, which means that you have to trigger an emotional response for them to take a desired action. For example: Get flat 60% off on [your product], if you order before 10 pm today. 
  2. CTA should be clear: CTA should clearly mention the action that is needed at the next stage of the buyer’s journey. For example: Buy Now, Book Consultation, Get Quote, etc. 
  3. Share your contacts clearly: Within the CTA, you have to share your mode of contact such as the website contact us page, email address, phone number, etc. This can vary from business to business depending on the sales funnel, and the type of product offered for sale. 

Summary

CTA plays an important role in the success of your marketing campaign, depending on the different types of campaigns. The type of CTA depends on the marketing message of the campaign, which makes it important for the business in different forms encouraging different types of action to maximize the CTA opportunity. When you add a CTA to your marketing campaign to boost your conversion rate, all businesses should implement this with a clear and well-thought-out message.
